This Code of Conduct applies to all users of DetectMy.AI services, including but not limited to:

• Individual users checking their own work

• Educators and academic institutions

• Content creators and publishers

• Businesses and organizations

• Any person or entity accessing our website or services

We expect all users to:

Use results responsibly: Treat AI detection results as one piece of evidence among many, not as definitive proof of AI usage or human authorship.

Respect privacy: Do not submit content belonging to others without proper authorization. Respect the intellectual property rights of content creators.

Maintain honesty: Use our services in good faith and do not attempt to manipulate results or misrepresent findings.

Provide due process: If you are an educator or employer using our tools to evaluate others, give individuals the opportunity to explain or defend their work before taking action.

Report issues: If you encounter bugs, inaccuracies, or concerns about our service, please report them to support@detectmy.ai.

The following behaviors are not tolerated:

• Using detection results as sole evidence to accuse, punish, or defame individuals

• Submitting content without the author's consent for the purpose of surveillance or harassment

• Attempting to reverse-engineer, hack, or manipulate our detection algorithms

• Misrepresenting detection results to third parties

• Using our services to facilitate discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, or other protected characteristics

• Creating false or misleading reports based on our detection results

• Any use that violates applicable laws or regulations

AI detection technology is not perfect. We encourage users to understand the following:

False positives occur: Human-written content may sometimes be flagged as AI-generated, especially if the writing is highly structured or formal.

False negatives occur: AI-generated content may not always be detected, particularly if it has been heavily edited.

Context matters: Detection scores should be interpreted within the context of the submission, the individual's writing history, and other relevant factors.

Human review is essential: Our tools are designed to assist human judgment, not replace it. Always conduct a thorough review before making decisions based on detection results.

For educators and academic institutions using our services:

• Clearly communicate your policies regarding AI use to students before assignments

• Do not use detection results as the sole basis for academic misconduct charges

• Allow students to explain their writing process and provide evidence of their work

• Consider cultural and linguistic factors that may affect detection accuracy, particularly for non-native speakers

• Use our detailed analysis features to have constructive conversations about writing rather than punitive measures

All reports will be reviewed promptly and handled with discretion. We take all reports seriously and will investigate thoroughly while protecting the privacy of all parties involved.

Retaliation against individuals who report violations in good faith is strictly prohibited and will itself be treated as a violation of this Code.

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

• A formal warning and request to cease the problematic behavior

• Temporary suspension of account access

• Permanent termination of account and services

• Reporting to relevant authorities if illegal activity is suspected

The severity of consequences will depend on the nature and frequency of the violation. We reserve the right to take any action we deem appropriate to protect our community and services.

If you believe you have been wrongly accused of violating this Code of Conduct, you have the right to appeal:

• Submit your appeal in writing to support@detectmy.ai within 14 days of receiving notice of the violation

• Include a detailed explanation of your position and any supporting evidence

• Appeals will be reviewed by a member of our team who was not involved in the original decision

• You will receive a response within 30 days of submitting your appeal

We may update this Code of Conduct from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or community standards. Material changes will be communicated through our website or via email to registered users.
